MULTAN, March 21st: An Air Blue Flight narrowly escaped a deadly crash after a bird hit its keft engine on Tuesday night as soobn as it took off for Jeddah from Multan Inter-national airport .Civil Aviation authorities have confirmed the report. All Passengersare safe however ,left engine slightly damaged.The AP-872 Jeddah-bound flight made an emergency landing at Multan airport after the incident. The plane was on its way to Saudi Arabia(UAE) from Multan directly when the incident occurred. All the passengers were off loaded and Engineers are inspecting the plane. CAA spokesaman said that the plane would be allowed to leave for destinatiion after fitness certificate. Governor Punjab Malik Muhammad Rafiq Rajwana wanted to take his ailing friend Ch.Muhammad Akram to Islamabad for treatment. but pilot of PIA's flight 682 did not let them travel with oxygen cyliner. Consequently, the passenger was immediately removed to Intensive Care Unit of Nishtar Hospital Multan.
