A KNIFE-wielding attacker swam to a hotel beach and went on a stabbing rampage today, killing two female tourists and injuring four others.

A picture has emerged that appears to show the man being restrained what appears to be a caged luggage trolley.
Officials said the man sneaked into the Sunny Days El Palacio Hotel by swimming from a nearby public beach before going on a stabbing spree.
Journalist Farid Y. Farid says sources at Hurghada Hospital say the murdered women were in their early sixties.
One hotel guest told the Masry al-Yom newspaper that the attacker shouted at Egyptian hotel staff to clear a path as he targeted foreigners on the beach.
“Go away, I don’t want you Egyptians, you are not wanted,” he reportedly shouted. The killer has not been identified
“We don’t know his motives yet, he could be crazy or perturbed — it’s too early to tell,” a senior interior ministry official told AFP.
An anonymous official told AP the man was dressed in a black T-Shirt and blue jeans and carried a knife.
Distressing pictures show the hotel lobby covered in blood and injured tourists being carried away on stretchers.
The Egyptian foreign ministry said the man’s motive for the attack is not clear, but they are questioning him in custody.
The two female tourists killed in the attack are understood to be from Germany, according to Reuters.
Earlier reports had suggested the women were from Ukraine.
There are conflicting reports over the nationality of the injured tourists. An Egyptian security official also confirmed three victims were from Serbia and one was from Poland and the Czech Foreign Ministry tweeted one of those hurt is a 36-year-old Czech.
The official said the tourists were stabbed in the face, neck, and feet by the male attacker.
Hurghada stretches for 40km of Egypt’s Red Sea coast and is renowned for scuba diving.
It is a hub for tourists, with many resorts, restaurants, bars and nightclubs.
Security had been boosted in the tourist resort after jihadists stabbed three tourists in January 2016.
The attack saw two suspected ISIS militants storm the Bella Vista hotel – which is just over one mile away from the Sunny Days El Palacio hotel.
It is unclear whether there were private guards or police patrolling the beach today when the attacker swam to the shore and carried out his rampage. The attack came hours after five policemen were shot to death in Cairo’s twin city of Giza when suspected Islamic militants opened fire on their vehicle early in the morning.
Today’s attack has chilling echoes of 2015 Tunisian beach attack during which 38 people were killed, 30 of whom were British.
