U-turn of Nehal Hashmi ?,he withdraws resignation from Senate

In a dramatic move on Tuesday, PML-N’s Nehal Hashmi met Senate Chairman Raza Rabbani and requested him not to accept his resignation, saying he had forwarded his resignation under party’s pressure.
Senator Nehal Hashmi tendered resignation from his seat after his controversial and threatening speech on May 28, after which he was summoned by the Supreme Court and issued a contempt notice.
On the other hand, PML-N leader Mushahidullah told media that parliamentary party met the Senate chairman and asked him to accept the resignation. ‘We are standing with the leadership and Nehal Hashmi should have abided by the disciplinary code, adding that this is not a good step by him.’
Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Senator Nehal Hashmi last week, while warning those who were conducting the accountability of the Sharif family, said in a public rally that they would make this land (Pakistan) "restricted for them" and their children.
He said that they were now in service but would retire one day and then they would not spare them.
Nehal Hashmi, in a speech to workers in Karachi at a Yaum-e-Takbeer event, threatened the prime minister’s unidentified enemies. “The one you are investigating is the PM’s son,” roared Hashmi.
Without identifying who he was referring to, Hashmi said, “You will not be spared, you are in service now but remember you will retire tomorrow.” “Those investigating us [must know] we will observe your day of judgment,” he stated further.
In the video, Hashmi also lashed out at the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Imran Khan casting doubts on the money trail of his Banigala estate. “We will reduce the space in this country for your kids and your family,” he added.
Supreme Court on Thursday served contempt of court notice to Hashmi and sought response from him till Monday.
Meanwhile, hearing the contempt notice, the court on Monday directed Nehal Hashmi to submit his response over controversial remarks till June 16.
