One Zareef Jhallan along with his six accomplices attacked the husband of his previous wife and tortured him ruthlessly in Seetpur (Muzaffargarh district) A youngman Muhammad Yameen married to divorced lady without caring threats from her previous husband. The couple was enjoying life for the last 18 months This situation was not acceptable to Zareef who wanted to see her in miserable condition. To take revenge, he caught hold him on way to Alipur city with the help of five armed men. They attempted to gouge his eyes who married to his previous wife in Seetpur in Muzaffargarh district on Saturday.DPO Muzaffargarh Asad Malik said," we have registered a case against the assailants ,however ,no arrest was made. and no one would go unpunished," SHO Police station seetpur Abdul Karim Kausar said that Zareef had divorced his wife Shazia following domestic feud two years ago. After that Muhammad Yameen adopted her as his wife.Then Zareef threatened him for dire consequences but he did not care for it.Today he was going to nearby village.Then Zareef and his armed accomplices caught hold him and they tried to gouge his eyes besides breaking his limbs.However people of the area foiled their attempt and shifted him to Rural heal centre. Doctors were not optimistic about his eyesight. Police reached at site after two hours. Howver ,a case was registered under section 382 PPC and issued a docket for medico legal certificate. Later he was shifted to Tehsil Head Quarter Hospital Alipur. Police failed to arrest the culprits. Police further said that Zareef was also involved in snatching a cash of Rs.1,13,000 at gun point
