MULTAN, May 25th: Mian Muhammad Mansha Chairman of MCB bank and Nishat Group of Industries announced to manufacture environment friendly electric cars in Pakistan as the trend of electric cars is gaining huge momentum, and apparently most of the developed nations have made it a point in their future plans to rely heavily on electric and hybrid cars.Discussing the Post CPEC situation he has warned that small businesses would be ended automatically with the arrival of mega projects under CPEC.Government should strengthen them by advancing soft loans. Pakistani nation would have to render sacrifices our its survival because our internal situation was the worst and we would have to resolve our problems on our own. Delivering his speech at Multan Chamber of Commerce & Industry (MCCI)Mian Mansha said that we have potential to bring a revolution in economy and we need no foreign assistance if we stand up for our survival. Expressing his concern on rapidly increasing unemployment in Pakistan, He said that only private sector can provide jobs to seekers ,Government should provide maximum incentives and facilities to the private sector.He said that a section of media always propagate against him that ," I am evading Government taxes and doing corruption in business,"It has recently levelled an allegation of corruption of Rs.3 billion in supply of new police uniforms in Punjab," He said that we do business with law enforcing agencies of Pakistan and other countries, If we would be dishonest, then would not do business with us," .He said that there should be no deadlock, the system must continue. He was optimistic that situation would turn better after 2018 elections. Mian Mansha said that our neighbouring country Iran was generating 75,000 MW electricity and its literacy rate has gone to 97 percent. Bangladesh became the seond largest industry of garments while it does not produce even single bale of cotton, Beijing which is at the distance of merely four hours from Lahore is the biggest economy of the world but our problems are insolvable.He says in a light vein that there are two Pakistan, One is for those who were minting money, builsding Posh homes, Steel mills and luxurious items,and other Pakistan is a "Masailistan" which is for textile sector, value added sector, leather and Agruiculture.Mian Mansha said that 30 percent electricity is being stolen in the country.Government should issue licences to more distribution companies to cut the jurisdiction of existing Discos. New distribution companies must be developed in Multan, Lahore and Faisalabad. It is atnoshing situation that merely 20,000 MW electricity was being consumed by 220 million people in Pakistan.
In his welcome address Khawaja Jalaluddin Roomi President of Multan Chamber of Commerce & Industry (MCCI) said that Mian Muhammad Mansha is a successful industrialist/Businessman who has his own textile plants, the largest in the country, generate more revenue than anything other than the $11.2bn in remittances that Pakistanis living abroad sent home last year. He owns MCB, the most profitable bank in the country; his Adamjee Insurance is the largest general insurer in Pakistan. He has purchased two power plants from American producer AES – one of the biggest providers of power in a country.He played his key role in strengthening the Country's economy. Senior Vice President Bakhtawar Tanvir Sheikh asked him to publish his book which is a collection of his achievements so that other businessmen could set their business in right direction and maximum people could get jobs .
