MULTAN, Dec 7th:Pakistani traders should join the Pakistan-France Business Aloliance (PFBA)to boostup mutual business with french traders/industrialists/exporters .An idea of joint venture in Mango-processing and pulp plant may be acceptable and attractive for  French investors, said Ambassador of France in Pakistan Ms.Martine Dorance and Mr.Phillippe Fouet Economic Counsular while addressing the Agriculture Sub Committee of Multan Chamber of Commerce & Industry (MCCI) chaired by its convener Shahid Nasim Khokhar.“Local mangoes are very much popular in France and we are visiting this region in order to improve our relations with local industrialists and other businessmen”, she added.She further said that nearly 40 companies of France were working in Pakistan and a good number of traders and industrial groups from France also wished to visit Pakistan for joint investment over different projects.Pakistan and France will collaborate in agriculture sector, agro-based industry, livestock improvement programmes and cooperation on designing rural development projects.She said that Pakistan was closely following French economic and rural development growth strategy and felt that Pakistan could learn from our best practices for agricultural improvement.She said that Pakistani mango  can be exported to France after improving its quality and required processing .She recognised that Mango of South Punjab was so delicious and fragrant.However,farmers should take measures to save it from fruit-fly.Shahid Nasim Khokhar  briefed the guests about the potential in agriculture and said that there were vast opportunities to invest in agro-based-industry because agri-sector contributes 23 percent in countr's economy.Hefurther said that Pakistan wasimporting agricutural products worth $ 2 billion per annum .He said that sub committee ofMCCI on agriculture was playing its role to alleviate the miseries and hardships of farmers.The meeting was also attended by Khawaja Jalaluddin Roomi, Mumtaz Khan Manais,ZahidHussain Gardezi President of Mango growers Association,Abdul RehmanKhan,  Abdul Mueed,Muzaffar Khan Khakwani, Ghulam Abbas Raan,Maj(Retd) Tariq Khan,Ex-Vice Presidentof MCCI,HajiMuhammad Akram Arain, Nasir Iqbal, Muhammad Hassan Askari,Nasir Abbas Jafari, Hamid Hassan Sargana,Shahbaz Ahmed Khan, Kashif Rafi, Ghulam Abbas, AliAhsan, MuhammadFaisal and RanaZAfar. While Makhdoom zada Syed Zain Hussain Qureshi presented the shield insignia of Multan Chamber.
