Bahauddin Zakariya University declared BA/BSc examinations 2016,only 36.66 % passed

MULTAN, August 25: The Bahauddin Zakariya University Thursday announced the result of BA/BSc annual examination 2016, girls clinched all the top five positions in science, and arts group only one boy could capture a position among all the candidates in Multan and Dera Ghazi Khan Divisions.  The girl’s candidates captured eight positions out of ten in Bechalor of Arts and Science while only two boys could secure positions.
The BZU Urdu Department Head Prof Dr Robina Tareen chaired the result declaration ceremony while BZU Registrar Prof Dr Farooq Ahmed was chief guest. The BZU Controller Prof Dr Muhammad Mutahir Iqbal announced result and position holders.
The private and public sector education institutions got four positions to each while two positions went to private candidates. The overall pass percentage remained high among public sector education institutions compared to private institutions.  
The numbers of 46294 candidates appeared in the examination, 16971 of them could pass with 36.66pc result. The numbers of 29563 candidates appeared in Bachelor of Arts with 28.73pc result. As many as 16731 candidates appeared in Bachelor of Science and 8478 of them could pass with 50.67pc result. The gender wise over all pass percentage has showed female pas percentage remained high then boys. The numbers of 20802 male appeared and 4931 of them declared pass with 24pc result. The numbers of 25493 female candidates appeared 12040 of them declared pass with 47pc result.
In the Bachelor of Arts group, the pass percentage remained high among female regular candidates then male. The numbers of 1929 male candidates appeared in BA, 510 could pass with 26.44pc result compared to 5801 female candidates and 3087 declared pass with 53.21pc result.  The private candidates showed poor results compared to public colleges as 10803 male private candidates appeared and only 1543 could pass  with 14.28pc result compared to 11030 private girls candidates and 3353 of them declared pass with 30.40pc result.
In the Bachelor of Science group 3238 regular male candidates appeared with 45.92pc result. The numbers of 5575 female regular candidates appeared with 72.27pc result.
The private education institutions remained aloof in showing better result and pass percentage in BSc examination. As many as 20801 private male candidates appeared and 4931could pass the examination with 24pc result. Similarly 2593 female candidates appeared from private colleges and 12040 could pass with 47pc result.
The statics of over all result has showed girls captured all the four positions in Bachelor of Science out of five positions. All the girls’ candidates captured all the five positions in Bachelor of Arts group.
FIRST FIVE POSITIONS IN BSC:
Roll number 42634 of the candidate Mehwish Naeem of Multan City College of Science Commerce bagged 707 marks and took first position in Bachelor of Science.
Roll number 42759 of candidate Hafsa Naeem of Punjab College received 697 marks with second position.
Roll number 38287 of Hafsa Irshad of the Burewala Government College for women and she received 692 marks with third position.
Roll number 42758 of candidate Chaman Saeed of Multan Punjab College received 689 marks with fourth position.
Roll number 41877 of candidate Aroba Zafar of Sahiwal Punjab college received 672 marks with fifth position.
FIRST FIVE POSITIONS IN BA:
Roll number 1535 of candidate Rahat Hameed of Jehania government college for women received 626 marks with first position.
Roll number 23423 of Mubashir Hassan as private candidate obtained 620 marks with second position.
Roll number 1830 of candidate Fatima Akbar of Kot Addu government college for women received 616 marks with third position.
Roll number 8169 of Aneesa Sadiq as private candidate received 614 marks with fourth position.
Roll number 5222 of Hafiza Shama Khurshid of Multan Mumtazabad Government College for women and received 610 marks with 610 marks with fifth position.
Roll number 19290 of Zara Suleman as private candidate obtained 610 marks with fifth position.
